The official website now has preview images for The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 Episode 6, which is scheduled to air in Japan on February 14. It will then be released with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and Netflix (in Asia).
The synopsis officially states that Miyuki, a lady-in-waiting at the clinic, learns of Maomao’s unlawful manufacture of medicine inside the backyard palace. Although she was not punished for this, Maomao would instead have to concoct medicines for a maid of the Crystal Pavilion. She hears that the maid is not very well and how the maids behave strangely. The apothecary then decides to get to the bottom of things, feeling a little disconcerted about the whole affair. The episode is entitled “The Crystal Pavilion, for the Third Time.”

The Apothecary Diaries is a Japanese light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino. The light novel series is currently published by Shunfunotomo in their Hero Bunko, while J-Novel Club publishes the digital version in English. The novels are published in print by Square Enix.

The first season of The Apothecary Diaries was animated by TOHO Animation and OML in 2023. The current second seasons are ongoing and earmarked to have 25 episodes in total.
Crunchyroll puts out a brief summary of the plot for the second season:
When a favored concubine carries a child, it is Maomao who becomes both cook and food taster, but not only to protect the woman from harm. Rising dangers in the palace challenge her instincts. There is a new concubine with strong connections, an unresolved assassination attempt on Jinshi’s life, and an envoy with impossible requests. All these mysterious elements hint at a grand conspiracy poised to engulf the empire.
