Is Super Saiyan 4 Goku Now Canon in Dragon Ball?
Any appearances of Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball thus far have been in Dragon Ball GT, an anime-only sequel not penned by the creator of the series, hence it is categorized as a non-canonical side story. The present canon timeline proceeds from Dragon Ball Z to Dragon Ball Super with the Dragon Ball Super movies, none of which make any mention of Super Saiyan 4. In contrast to declaring the non-canon Super Saiyan 4 as a legitimate transformation, Dragon Ball Super went ahead to introduce Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct.
Dragon Ball DAIMA was penned by Akira Toriyama himself and is set chronologically after the events of the Buu Saga of Dragon Ball Z and before the onset of Dragon Ball Super. More specifically, it takes place in the year of Age 775, exactly one year after the defeat of Kid Buu (Age 774) and three years before the events of Dragon Ball Super begin (Age 778). If nothing was to come up, that means the form should have been introduced into the later events, most notably the Tournament of Power.
But then it leaves room for possible in-universe reasons for the absence. Perhaps it is a temporary power-up that Goku loses, or it might have specific conditions to activate it, for example, being exclusive to the Demon Realm. While the episode did not release any explicit hints in that regard, Neva (the Namekian from the Demon Realm’s Namek who is the creator and guardian of the Demon Realm Dragon Balls) did make it possible for Goku to transform. Most likely, they will go back to normal from next week, and there will not even be a need to transform again.
In any case: Yes, Super Saiyan 4 Goku can now be considered canon because the form appeared in a Dragon Ball story that was written by the original creator Akira Toriyama.
