The ONE PIECE BASE app, now confirmed for an official English launch, opens up an avenue by which fans around the world can begin to experience the legendary ONE PIECE manga. The English launch was first announced in August 2024, during the ONE PIECE DAY ’24 event, and the app first saw the light in Japan. It was eventually made available to an international audience.
What is ONE PIECE BASE APP?
ONE PIECE BASE is an app fully crafted for ONE PIECE fans as an interactive platform for reading, renting, and completing “missions” related to Monkey D. Luffy and his crew. The app helps users read the original manga “anytime, anywhere,” giving them a good chance of following Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece.
In addition to manga reading, the app has a lot of other fun features. One of them is a Portrait Generator that lets users transform their own pictures into Oda-style wanted posters or portraits. So fans can actually see themselves in the one-piece universe with the art that was created in the spirit of Oda’s iconic style!

Special Release Celebration Events
As a celebration of the ONE PIECE BASE app being launched in English, the developers have lined up a number of limited-time happenings and gifts for users:
â–¢ Free Manga Access: Fans can read select volumes (Vol. 1-12) of the manga free of charge, via the app, until March 10, 2025 (PST). This is a great opportunity for newcomers to start the ONE PIECE manga while also letting longtime fans revisit the beginning of the Straw Hat Pirates. Volume 12 ends with Chapter 108, titled “100 Bounty Hunters,” in which Zoro battles against Baroque Works’ bounty hunters.
â–¢ Portrait Generator Conversion Tickets: As a special gift, users will receive two free Portrait Generator Conversion Tickets (Demo) that allow them to create custom ONE PIECE-style portraits. These must be claimed from the item box on or before March 25, 2025.
First serialized in 1997 in Weekly Shonen Jump, ONE PIECE today stands as the best-selling manga of all time, with a worldwide circulation of over 500 million copies. This series has inspired several adaptations, movies, and video games.
Upcoming Season 2 of the live-action has very recently finished filming and the WIT Studio remake is in progress.
